LEBANON, OH (September 1st, 2022) – Kings Hammer is excited to announce Ryan Handbury as the Premier North Program Director. Ryan will also continue his current duties as Academy North Program Director and the Premier Sycamore Program Director. His new role in the Premier North will allow him to connect the Premier North and Sycamore Programs to create a stronger pathway to the Academy North Program.
Ryan has coached and directed both girls and boys teams at Kings Hammer for over 10 years. He is currently pursuing his USSF ‘B’ License, holds his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, and the UEFA C Alternative. Ryan also serves on the Technical Staff for the USL-2 Men’s Team at Kings Hammer.
“I am excited for the opportunity to become the Kings Hammer Premier North Program Director. As the current Academy North Director, I understand the pathway and opportunity for our players through the Kings Hammer North Premier Program. I look forward to building relationships in the program and playing a pivotal role in the development process for everyone involved,” stated Ryan Handbury.
Wil Cagle has been serving as the Premier North Program Director for the past year and we are thankful for all his hard work. Wil currently serves as the Education Director and will continue to serve, focusing on parent, player, and coach education club wide.
Wil holds a USSF A License, NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, and a USSF National Youth License. Wil has been coaching for over 32 years with high school, college, and club experience. He was also on the Kentucky Youth Soccer ODP staff and the Ohio South USSF Coaching Education staff. In addition to his soccer roles, Wil has previously worked for area non-profit organizations leading youth development programs at the state and county level. While at Cincinnati State Wil served as an Adjunct Instructor in the First-Year Experience program. He also spent 10 years serving as a substitute teacher for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
“I have been honored to serve in the role of Program Director for the North area and feel that we have accomplished much. I am confident that the leadership from coaches, admin, and Ryan will ensure the continued growth, improvement, and success of the Premier North Program. I am excited to focus my energies on the development of the Education Division and to furthering our ability as coaches, parents, and players to grow and improve Kings Hammer Soccer Club,” stated Wil Cagle.
“Ryan brings years of experience to the position and an unparalleled knowledge of the area having directed our Premier Sycamore Program and our Academy North Program. This change will allow Ryan to bridge the gap between our Premier North and Sycamore Programs and create a clear pathway to our Academy North. I would like to thank Wil on behalf of the club for his work establishing our Premier North Program. We are excited for him to continue educating our coaches, parents, and players throughout the club,” stated Paul Nicholson, Kings Hammer Executive Director Midwest.
