Congratulations to Sam Lang being named to the US Men’s Deaf National Team roster for the 2024 Deaf Pan American Games. The games will be held Nov. 9-16 in Canoas, Brazil.
Sam Lang currently plays as a goalkeeper for Kings Hammer on the KH ECNL B06/07 team as well as the Varsity team at Highlands High School in Fort Thomas, KY. Last year, Lang participated in a training camp at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center where Deaf MNT Head Coach, David Kunitz, had expressed excitement in seeing Lang in action. In August 2023, he received a call from Kunitz inviting him to join the US Men’s Deaf National Team for the 2023 World Deaf Football Championship in Malaysia.
This year, Lang has secured a roster spot for the 2024 Deaf Pan American Games, which serves as a qualifier for the 2025 Deaflympics to be held next year in Tokyo, Japan. The club is beyond proud of Sam Lang for his dedication to the sport and this incredible accomplishment. We can’t wait to watch him compete in Brazil.
