Kings Hammer Speaker Series with Dr Laura Finnegan Feb 16th & 23rd

The Kings Hammer Speaker Series will return this February with a lecturer in talent development at Waterford Institute of Technology Ireland, Dr. Laura Finnegan!

Dr. Laura Finnegan will be joining us live on Wednesday, February 16th at 12pm for coaches of U10+ female athletes and on Wednesday, February 23rd at 12pm for parents of U10+ female athletes. Both presentations will be streamed live on our Facebook and YouTube pages.

This presentation series will discuss the impact of female growth and maturation on personal, psychosocial, emotional, and physical development and aims to provide insights into how coaches and parents can apply that knowledge to enhance the developmental experience of the youth athlete.

Dr. Laura Finnegan founded the Football Research Group in 2020 which brings together a variety of international academics and practitioners engaged in football research. She completed a Ph.D. in talent development in youth football in 2020. She is currently working on a number of football research projects, including a UEFA-funded investigation into club environments across 7 European countries. She has also presented on several coaching courses including the UEFA Pro license and the US Soccer Talent Scout License.
