COVINGTON, KY (September 2, 2021) Kings Hammer is excited to announce Louis Liberatore as the Director of Goalkeeping. As a member of the Technical Staff, Louis will be launching the Kings Hammer Goalkeepers’ Union, a GK position-specific program unlike any other in the region.

Liberatore has extensive coaching experience, most recently with the Tennessee Soccer Club, as its director of goalkeeping. He also formerly worked as an assistant goalkeeper coach for the Orlando Pride of the National Women’s Soccer League. The United Soccer Coaches listed Liberatore as a “30 under 30” recipient for his extraordinary achievements in the soccer community.

Previously, Liberatore coached at the collegiate level with Belmont, Northern Kentucky, Binghamton, Frostburg State, and his alma mater of Belmont Abbey. He also has experience in professional and youth soccer, coaching at Binghamton United FC and Orlando City Youth Soccer.

“I am extremely excited for the opportunity to join the Kings Hammer family as the Director of Goalkeeping.  The opportunity to start the Kings Hammer Goalkeepers’ Union is unique and I look forward to creating a destination for goalkeepers in the Greater Cincinnati and Ohio Valley Region. Being tapped to lead this project is a great honor for me and my family,” said Louis Liberatore.

“As a club, we are very happy to bring in someone with Louis’ experience. We have a clear vision of what we want our goalkeeper program to evolve into and we feel that Louis is the right person to bring that vision to life. I am personally excited to see Louis guide our current goalkeepers and inspire the next generation of goalkeepers to come through our club,” stated Paul Nicholson, Kings Hammer Technical Director.

“We are thrilled to announce the addition of Lou to our technical staff as our new GK Director. Lou brings a wealth of knowledge to this program having coached and directed at some of the best youth soccer clubs across the country. This announcement provides the opportunity for Kings Hammer to launch a new and exciting Goalkeepers’ Union. The GK Union will be designed to be the best GK position-specific program in this region. We are very pleased that Lou will lead and manage this program,” stated Kevin McCloskey, COO at Kings Hammer Soccer Club.

Louis possesses the USSF National B License, the NSCAA/United Soccer Coaches Advanced National GK Diploma, and the Scottish FA Goalkeeping Coaching Award (1.3).

More information on the Goalkeepers’ Union will be released in the coming weeks.
