Kings Hammer is excited to share the news about our upcoming Winter Juniors Camp in Lexington, KY! This 6 week camp is the perfect way for new and young players who want to get started in soccer and level up their skills. 

WINTER JUNIORS CAMP (U5 – U9)

Our Juniors Camp is a player-centered program for new or young players that uses soccer as a tool to help kids reach various physical, cognitive, and psychosocial developmental milestones. This 6-week camp promotes self-confidence and fosters a love of the game through age-appropriate technical activities, fitness, and fun. Come join us this Winter!

Register for COE 3v3 Holiday Classic Today!

Get in the Holiday Spirit with some 3v3 Winter Action! Players U8-U19 are invited to participate in the COE 3v3 Holiday Classic on December 7th & 8th! The registration deadline is November 27th, so sign up today!

The COE 3v3 Holiday Classic is a great tournament to give your team a fun and competitive day of fast-paced soccer. Teams will play outdoors on 3v3 small-sized fields and can work on 1v1 attacking, spacing, passing, and defensive positioning. Grab some friends and form a team today! Already have a team from the fall season? Split your team into several 3v3 teams and enjoy a fun day of 3v3 soccer in the Cincinnati area.

Event Highlights and Format:

• A one-day, fast-paced 3v3 soccer tournament for all skill levels
• 24-minute matches with a running clock
• Guaranteed 4 matches per team
• Boys compete on Saturday, girls compete on Sunday
• Max roster size of 6
• Awards for Champions & Finalists in each age division

KH GOALKEEPER SAM LANG IS CALLED UP TO US DEAF MNT

Congratulations to Sam Lang being named to the US Men’s Deaf National Team roster for the 2024 Deaf Pan American Games. The games will be held Nov. 9-16 in Canoas, Brazil and will serve as a qualifier for the 2025 Deaflympics to be held next year in Tokyo, Japan. The club is beyond proud of Sam Lang for his dedication to the sport and this incredible accomplishment!

KH Lexington Players Commit to Play in College

We’re very excited to highlight these two players for their commitment to continue their athletic careers after graduation.

We’d like to congratulate Sophie Paul of our KHA1 Lexington G06/07 E64 RL team for signing her LOI this month! Sophie will attend Georgetown College and play for the Tigers women’s soccer team.

We’d also like to congratulation Justin Acree from our KHA1 B06/07 team on his commitment to play with Owen’s Express Men’s Soccer following graduation!

Congratulations to you both. We’re so excited to see your journey continue!

November Education: Making the Most of Your Winter Break

For most of our Kings Hammer teams and players, November marks the end of the first part of our soccer calendar, and December brings the start of a significant break for players and parents alike.  The absence of travel, practice, and game-day stress, combined with more time spent with family, can often bring a much-needed break and provides an ideal time for players to recover and recharge.

It also presents unique challenges and opportunities for young athletes to maintain or build fitness, enhance their ball skills, improve game intelligence or understanding, and prepare for the spring season.

REST AND RECUPERATE

Just like during the summer break, families need to recognize the value of some rest during this period.  This is especially important for athletes who have incurred injuries over the course of the fall season.  Rest does not have to mean laying around on the couch for long periods, but perhaps finding less stressful activities (mentally and physically.)

BECOME US SOCCER REFEREE CERTIFIED IN KENTUCKY

Ready to make the calls? Kentucky Soccer Referee Association is holding one more upcoming class for first time referees to get certified in Kentucky!

The fall season is winding down, but this is a great opportunity for those from our Wilder and Union families to get jump start on their certification and be ready when the spring season starts!
