Staff Spotlight: Coach Chinyere Ukazim

Coach Chinyere “UK” Ukazim brings over 25 years of combined playing and coaching experience to Kings Hammer Bay United. A U.S. Soccer Federation C License holder, Coach UK is dedicated to the long-term growth and development of youth athletes—both on and off the field.
As a player, Coach UK competed at the semi-professional level, including time with the Eastern Indoor Soccer League (EISL) in 1998, and proudly represented the U.S. Navy soccer team in 1999. His competitive background has helped shape a coaching philosophy rooted in discipline, tactical intelligence, and a deep respect for the game.
Coach UK began his coaching career in 2002 with North Charleston Soccer Club, where he led youth programs for seven years and quickly gained recognition for his player-focused development approach. From 2010 to 2015, he continued his work with Milton Soccer Club, in Massachusetts, emphasizing technical fundamentals, accountability, and team culture.
Since 2016, Coach UK has been a vital part of the Kings Hammer Bay United coaching staff, working with athletes across various age groups. He leads players through year-round training, league competition, and tournament play, while promoting a positive, growth-minded environment.
Coach UK’s combination of high-level playing experience, formal coaching education, and decades of youth mentorship make him a respected and impactful leader within the club. His mission is to not only develop strong soccer players, but also confident, character-driven individuals prepared for success beyond the game.
