Staff Spotlight: Coach Pete Amador

Coach Pete Amador is a U.S. Navy veteran and lifelong soccer enthusiast with over 40 years of playing and coaching experience. Known for his integrity, discipline, and player-first approach, he has built a lasting legacy in youth, adult, and elite club soccer programs.
Before his military service, Coach Amador played NCAA collegiate soccer, where he developed the competitive mindset and tactical insight that still guide his coaching today. Over the years, he has held leadership roles with respected organizations such as Bay Shore Soccer, Spirit Soccer, Mandeville Soccer, Scripps Ranch Soccer, Perdido Bay FC, and multiple Navy base teams both in the U.S. and abroad.
His coaching career spans boys and girls from U6 to U19, as well as adult teams, in major soccer markets including Chicago, San Diego, New York, and Florida. No matter the age group or location, Coach Amador brings an adaptable, fundamentals-driven approach that connects with players and inspires growth.
Now in his third season as Head Coach for the Kings Hammer Bay United Boys U13 team, he focuses on building high-performing squads where respect fuels growth, character shapes culture, and every player is empowered to lead.
Currently pursuing his U.S. Soccer Class D License, Coach Amador continues to invest in his professional development. His coaching philosophy can be summed up in his own words:
