A familiar face to Kings Hammer Bay United families, Coach TaVian Gullatt enters his eighth year of coaching—and his third season with the club—during the 2025–2026 season.

A true world traveler, TaVian has been involved in soccer for over 20 years. His journey began in Japan at age six and continued as he gained valuable playing experience in Italy, Turkey, and other countries while his parents were stationed overseas.

After high school, he went on to play at Westminster College in Pennsylvania before transferring to Texas A&M–Texarkana. Following injuries that cut his playing career short, TaVian shifted his focus to coaching, serving as a student assistant coach during the 2020–2021 season.

Since joining Kings Hammer Bay United in 2023, TaVian has coached across nearly every level of the club—from U6 to U19, and even with adult teams in the KHBU Recreation League. Beyond the club, he has served as the JV Boys Coach at North Bay Haven High School for two seasons and is currently an assistant coach with the school’s varsity girls team.

TaVian holds a USSF Grassroots and 11v11 License. He is passionate about connecting with players, helping them grow both on and off the field. Using his own experiences, he emphasizes how doing the “small things” right can create a big impact.

Looking ahead, TaVian aspires to coach overseas at the youth or professional level, with a dream of returning to Japan to work in the J-League.
